Aqueous, low-alkalinity industrial process cleaner formulated with surfactants and corrosion inhibitors, for inter-operation and final cleaning of ferrous and aluminum components.
Fully compatible with Castrol Alusol XBB and Hysol XBB cutting fluids: the spent solution can be recycled directly into the cutting fluid system.
Formulated without inorganic salts or formaldehyde-releasing agents; contains monoethanolamine (MEA).
Effectively removes soluble oils, light cutting or forming oils, thin-film rust preventives, lubricating oils, chips and general dirt.
Versatile: compatible with several metals and effective in both hard and soft water, which allows possible product consolidation.

DESCRIPTION

Castrol Techniclean 80 XBC is used at a concentration of 1 to 5% in low-pressure spraying and flood washing, and 1 to 2% in high-pressure spraying, from room temperature up to 70°C (160°F). It is suitable for spray pressures up to 1,200 bar (17,400 psi) and for dilution with water of varying hardness (0 to 350 ppm CaCO3). At a 5% solution, it has a pH of 9.9 and leaves a thin temporary anti-corrosion film after drying, which minimizes the scrap rate.

Unlike Techniclean 90 XBC, which is formulated without monoethanolamine (MEA) to meet different local requirements, 80 XBC contains MEA; the two products otherwise share the same cleaning performance and the same compatibility with Alusol and Hysol XBB cutting fluids.
