DESCRIPTION
Castrol Techniclean MP 2 (formerly CareClean MP2) is used at a concentration of 2 to 5%, at a temperature of 50 to 80°C in spraying and flood washing, or 40 to 70°C in immersion and ultrasonic cleaning. It effectively removes soluble oils, light cutting or forming oils, lubricating oils, thin-film rust preventives, chips and general dirt. Emulsified oil separates when left to rest and can be skimmed off to extend bath life.
Unlike Techniclean MP Flex, a more robust alkaline cleaner (pH 12.0-12.6) designed to loosen hardened deposits and confirmed safe only on ferrous metals, MP 2 is formulated at a more moderate pH (8.6-9.0) for precision cleaning, including sensitive aluminum alloys.
