The OMI-2C provides an interface between the CNC controller and the modulated transmission probes. The OMI-2C converts the optical signal into an electrical signal that can be picked up by the controller. Similarly, it can convert the electrical signal from the controller into a modulated optical signal, thus enabling the probe to be turned on and off by optical signal. The interface provides visual indication of probe status, battery level and system errors.
