DESCRIPTION
The Renishaw OSI optical interface converts the signal received from the probe into an electrical signal readable by the CNC controller. The OSI is designed to be installed within the working envelope of the CNC controller. The OSI interface, in conjunction with the OMM-2 receiver or the OMM-2C optical module, allows operation in single probe mode or provides sequential management of up to three compatible probes. The OSI/OMM-2 system uses modulated optical transmission and is compatible with Renishaw probes with modulated optical transmission.
